Elon Musk is planning to disrupt the housing markets by releasing an energy efficient heating, ventilation, and air conditioning system. While the HVAC industry makes small incremental improvements each year, Tesla is preparing a leapfrog product that will utilize its experience with electric vehicles to disrupt home energy systems. Tesla’s electric heat pump technology from the Model Y, combined with the HEPA filters from Model S and X, as well as software integration using the Tesla app, could make for a very compelling HVAC product.
