How To Pump Down The Air Conditioning System

This technique is used to store refrigerant in an air conditioning system’s compressor. The main goal is to prevent a system from losing refrigerant while maintenance work is done on it or when it is moved.

Why throw away the refrigerant when we can store it? Imagine if the system consumed a lot of refrigerant but we did not store it. We would squander the gas and incur additional costs to refill it.

This is why using the pump down method is crucial whenever we need to open or disassemble a system’s pipe line. Every maintenance worker and HVAC specialist needs to be able to use the pump down method.
